The EHCOLO HM80 Stretch Hood is the next step in the development of stretch hood technology. As an equipment manufacturer, EHCOLO has been on the market for more than 30 years with a focus on innovative and effective solutions for palletizing and packaging palletized goods. The EHCOLO HM80 was created with the intention of eliminating all the shortcomings of conventional Stretch Hood machines while offering all the advantages and even upgrading them. The main difference is the lack of an opening mechanism that opens the sleeve by gripping the gussets of the film. And this is where the biggest weakness of conventional Stretch Hood machines lies. The opening mechanism often misses one of the gussets, regardless of whether it is mechanical or vacuum type, which leads to the machine stopping and the need for the operator to go up to the second level and reposition the film correctly so that it is gripped by all four gussets. And because there is no opening mechanism, there is no need of gusstes on the film. This leads to a number of advantages such as more film in the same roll volume, which requires less frequent changes and consequently leads to less downtime of the machine. The lack of folds also allows printing on the entire surface of the film, which makes the pallet printed on all 4 sides. The lack of an opening mechanism leads to a simpler construction and eliminates the need for a "second floor" and a service platform. Everything is done at floor level, service, maintenance and loading of the material. This is the machine with the most compact size in terms of height on the market, 3850 mm. for packaging two-meter pallets. It is equipped as standard with servo motors, which makes the positioning of the frame extremely precise and allows working with different sized loads as well as extremely thin films, 30 microns for example. The built-in standard OPC-UA server serves both for machine control and workflow optimization as well as for connection to various external devices, machines, sensors, remote access, integration with ERP systems, data storage in cloud servers and everything needed for Industry 4.0. The simplified design and the kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) lead to low operating costs, low maintenance costs and reduced electricity consumption.
